All about DevOps (A Complete Guide to DevOps)

What is DevOps?

Hey Folks,

We live in an era where machines and their Intelengency rule over Human Efforts and make our day-to-day tasks easy.

Where we are now completely dependent upon machines for any small or big task. So all the backend processes used in the working of any Machines, Applications, or Websites need to be real quick and fast.

For example, you prepared an application or a machine but it's the hardware or just a view. What makes it run is its software (Soul of any Machines, Application, or Website).

Now, what is Software?

Software is nothing but a collection of data or instructions that tell the Application (Computer, Machines, Hardware, Website, etc...) how to work.

Software Life Cycle..!

Okay so now you know what is software, but every software is first needed to be developed according to the requirement, and then it goes for testing if testing is failed it again goes for the redevelopment once the testing process is tested successfully then it is sent to the production environment for the crowd to consume it.

Now every software has some bugs or future enhancements as per the crowd feedback who are consuming it. So the software is sent for enhancement as per the given feedback to Add new Functionality and Remove old Functionality and the Process is repeated again and again.

What are the different environments for software Deployment?

So every development requires some servers to deploy development into all the phases it's going through like Development, UAT, Staging, QA, Pre-Prod, and Production.

Now, as all the servers are different they need to maintain their Environments as per their requirements. also Server security and much other stuff related to server configuration.

All the Part are been managed by the Operation Team which works and handle all server-related issues and configurations.

So now the question is where the DevOps is been used here as the Developer develops the Code(Application), the Testing team (Tests the code), and Operation Team (maintains the servers).

Well now coming to the point...!

What is DevOps? How DevOps works?

DevOps is a set of rules and practices made to combines Operations and Software Development with just one click by making work automat and reduces manual efforts for Continous Integration and Continous Delivery. This aims to shorten the SDLC life cycle and provide Continuous Delivery with high software quality.

What is a Continous Integration?

CI (Continuous Integration) is a development process that requires developers to integrate code into a SCM (Source Control Managment System) many times to keep track on code. Each commit is then verified by an automated tool, allowing developers to detect problems early

What is Continuous Delivery?

CD (Continuous Delivery) is the important process of deploying source code developed by the developer into different environments like (Stage, UAT, Prod) delivering the software/Updates. Production in smaller packets, guarantee that the software can be released and deployed as per customer demand at any time. With this method of DevOps, the team will be always ready on 'Delivering Software' to the production.

What are the DevOps Tools?

Here are some latest upcoming trends and set of tools which will take you to the era of Automation where Machine uses there Intelligence to make your work done on a single command.
