What is Li-Fi?

As you know our today's topic is on Li-Fi, but what actually is a Li-Fi. You heard about the Wi-Fi and everyone has used Wi-Fi.
Even 60% of you watching this Blog is using Wi-Fi data.

But what is Li-Fi..!

LiFi is nothing but a wireless optical networking technology that uses LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) for data transfer (transmission).

LiFi is planned into that way to use LED light bulbs equal to those at present in use in many places like office, homes, etc.
Anyhow, LiFi bulbs are equipped with a chip that changes the light invisibly for optical data transmission. LiFi data are transfer by the LED bulbs and received by the hardware know as photoreceptors.

LiFi's has the capacity of sending 224 gigabits per second (Gbps). Technology Scientists have tested with Heavy LED Lights and got the result 350 gigabits-per-second (Gbps), which is faster than our normal WiFI (802.11ad).

Advantages of LiFi:
  • 10 times faster than Wi-Fi.
  • LiFi has a 10,000 times more frequency spectrum than radio waves.
  • It is more secure than WiFi as data cannot be blocked without a clear field of vision.
  • Removes network interference.
  • Does not create disturbance in touchy electronics, making it improve for use in environments like hospitals and other remote location where WiFi is a risk.
